Friable Asbestos Removal (Class A) training course is delivered and statements of attainment are issued by Training Aid Australia (91411).
SafeWork NSW only recognised CPCCDE3015 Remove friable asbestos statements of attainment issued by the approved training providers.
Training Aid Australia is approved by SafeWork NSW and accredited by the Australian Skills and Quality Authority (ASQA) to deliver this training course.
- In NSW, employers are required to have a Class A Asbestos Removal License to work with Friable Asbestos. Completion of this course is a mandatory training requirement.
- All workers and supervisors must complete a CPCCDE3015 Remove Friable Asbestos training course to be allowed to perform Friable Asbestos removal tasks.
- This training course allows working with Friable and Non Friable asbestos containing material (ACM).
- This course supersedes and is equivalent to CPCCDE3015A Remove friable asbestos. SafeWork NSW recognises Statements of Attainment issued under a new unit of competency.

What will you learn
Friable Asbestos Removal training covers asbestos removal related topics, such as Prepare for asbestos removal, Prepare asbestos removal area and removal site, Enclose removal site, Carry out asbestos removal process, Carry out decontamination process, Clean up work site and Complete regulatory processes.
Friable Asbestos Removal (Class A) training course consists of PowerPoint Presentation, End of the Day Practical and Theory Assessments, Videos, Class Activities, Class Discussions.
STATEMENT OF TRAINING CAN NOT BE ISSED IF A PARTICIPANT FAILS TO PROVIDE A VALID USI NUMBER
Any student participating in VET education in Australia, which is nationally recognised, is required to have their own USI.
USI can be obtained via online application through USI portal https://www.usi.gov.au
The Unique Student Identifier (USI) is a reference consisting of 10 letters and numbers. It creates a secure online record of student’s recognised training and qualification gained in Australia and allows access to relevant records and transcripts.
Current White Card
Participants must hold CPCWHS1001 “Prepare to Work Safely in the Construction Industry” or CPCCOHS1001A “Work Safely in the Construction Industry” qualifications.
Statement of the Attainment or the plastic Construction Induction card (also known as the white card) must be presented on the day of training as a proof of qualification.
Please note that the old coloured cards (Victorian red card, NSW green card etc) and white card issued prior to May 2009 are not accepted.
ENTRY TO THE CLASS WILL BE REFUSED

Remove non-friable asbestos certificate
Participants MUST HOLD CPCCDE3014 “Remove non-friable asbestos” qualification.
Statement of the Attainment must be presented on the training day as proof of qualification.

100 points of ID
Participants must provide 100 points of I.D.

Attendance
Participants should arrive 15 minutes prior to the scheduled starting time of the course to complete the necessary registration paperwork.

LLN (Language, Literacy and Numeracy)
The basic understanding, reading and writing of English is required.
As part of our pre-training review all students are required to complete an LLN assessment to determine a student’s eligibility for enrolment into their selected course.
All students enrolling into any Training aid course must have LLN skills to do simple calculations, understand English well enough to be able to read, write, and provide verbal responses to questions in English to undertake training and assessment in any of our courses.

Participants must hold CPCWHS1001 Prepare to Work Safely in the Construction Industry qualification. Statement of the Attainment or the plastic Construction Induction card (also known as the white card) MUST be presented on the day of training as a proof of qualification.

Yes, closed toed comfortable shoes are required to complete this course.
Yes, this course consists of a theory based assessment as well as a practical assessment.
You will be awarded CPCCBC4051A Supervise Asbestos Removal Class B on successful completion of the course.
