Anaphylaxis Sydney

Anaphylaxis training provides knowledge and skills to recognise the clinical signs of Anaphylaxis and how to identify and respond to an Anaphylaxis emergency and to develop an Anaphylaxis management plan and provide Anaphylaxis related first aid interventions in the workplace and knowledge and skills required to provide a first aid response to infants, children and adults.

This training course applies to educators and support staff working within an education and care setting, tourism, hospitality and sports events required to respond to a first aid emergency, dealing with Anaphylaxis management to the application of an epidermal during severe allergic reactions.

This training meets the new legislative standards as set out by The Ministerial Council for Education, Early Childhood Development and Youth Affairs. These codes are recognized by ACECQA for the purpose of emergency anaphylaxis care.

Anaphylaxis Details

Anaphylaxis training provides knowledge and skills required to provide a first aid response to infants, children and adults.

Anaphylaxis training covers following areas and provides skills and knowledge on how to:

  • Respond to an emergency situation
  • Control Anaphylaxis from intervention, identification, treatment and management of an emergency
  • Communicate details of the incident
  • Evaluate of the incident and own performance

This course applies to educators and support staff working within an education and care setting, tourism, hospitality and sports events who are required to respond to a first aid emergency, including Anaphylaxis.

Anaphylaxis Training expiration period

Anaphylaxis certificates have an expiration date. To stay current and valid:

  • 22300VIC Course in the Management of Anaphylaxis Risks and Emergencies in the Workplace needs to be refreshed every 3 years
IMPORTANT: USI Requirement

STATEMENT OF TRAINING CAN NOT BE ISSUED IF A PARTICIPANT FAILS TO PROVIDE A VALID USI NUMBER

From 1 January 2015, every student who undertakes nationally recognised Vocational Education and Training (VET) in Australia is required to have a Unique Student Identifier (USI).

USI can be obtained via online application through USI portal https://www.usi.gov.au

The Unique Student Identifier (USI) is a reference made up of 10 numbers and letters. It creates a secure online record of student’s recognised training and qualification gained in Australia and allows to access training records and transcripts.

ENTRY TO THE COURSE WILL BE REFUSED IF PARTICIPANT ARRIVES 15 MINUTES AFTER THE SCHEDULED STARTING TIME

We highly recommend arriving 15 minutes prior to the start of the course to complete necessary registration paperwork.

Identification

STATEMENT OF ATTAINMENT WILL NOT BE ISSUED IF PARTICIPANT DOES NOT PROVIDE A VALID FORM OF ID

Participants are required to provide 1 form of photo ID (e.g. passports, driver’s licence, NSW photo ID card, student card)

Intermediate Understanding of English Language

THE TRAINER RESERVES THE RIGHT TO REFUSE CLASS ENTRY BASED ON THE OUTCOME OF THE LANGUAGE, LITERACY AND NUMERACY (LLN) TEST

Anaphylaxis course involves reading and understanding training materials and PowerPoint presentation, verbally participating in group activities and completing written assessments.

Therefore, to successfully complete Anaphylaxis training, a basic level of understanding, reading and writing English is required.

LLN test consists of the serious of simple questions to determine level of participant’s language, literacy and numeracy. LLN test is available to all participants. Entry to the class will depend on results of LLN test.
