Advanced First Aid Sydney

Advanced First Aid training course describes the skills and knowledge required to provide an advanced first aid response, including management of the incident and other first aiders, until the arrival of medical or other assistance.

Start saving lives today! First Aid is a life-saving skill that benefits people from all walks of life, regardless of your age or your occupation. If you are reasonably mobile and are fit enough to administer CPR for at least 2 minutes you are ready to learn this globally respected skillset.

By attending the basic First Aid Course you will step easily into this Advanced First Aid course in Sydney. The course is run by a dedicated group of highly-skilled, professional health-care trainers and assessors. It is interactive, practical, and has scenario-based events to work through.

Advanced First Aid will equip you to save lives in the workplace when accidents occur, colleagues are rendered unconscious, critical CPR is needed or the use of an AED (automated external defibrillator). You will be skilled at handling choking, allergies, broken bones, acute bleeding, medical conditions as well as general workplace injuries.

Being certified in First Aid puts you in a position to help clients if you are a tour guide, a personal trainer, a teacher, a carer or working in a retail store. An estimate 11 million Australians have a daily risk of choking due to age or condition. Do you want to be able to help when that person is next to you?

An even greater risk is experienced by children with more than half of the country’s child deaths being as a result of accidents. Hospital emergency rooms receive over 150,000 child admissions annually of which 38,000 are injuries from crushing or glass cuts and 3,000 are incidents of poisoning and burns. Being able to jump in to assist your family, a neighbour or a citizen in the street is an asset of irreplaceable value.

Talk to us about tailoring a course to suit your company’s specific workplace requirements, focused group bookings and we will try our best to accommodate those needs.
Our Advanced First Aid training course will also give you the competency to manage an incident, including other first aiders, until the arrival of medical assistance. Incident management is a key skill as the lack of this knowledge can aggravate an injury or situation.

You will be positioned to provide, coordinate and manage a first aid response across a range of complex situations, including community and workplace settings.

With our basic First Aid certification and the Advanced First Aid Training, it is recommended that you do refresher courses every two years to keep your skills current, to keep your methodology correct and to learn of new products and tools.
