First Aid Sydney

A First Aid Certificate course is a seldom-discussed but very powerful skill to have. Here are a few reasons, out of 100โ€™s, to show why we say this.

In the case of CPR being needed in Sydney, First Aid trained people are ten times more likely to jump into action and help with the CPR. A sobering statistic shows that 70% of people trained in CPR will perform it at least once in their life on someone they know. Just a regular citizen with training, not a medical professional.

First Aid training will give you the ability to make fast, accurate decisions in emergencies. This is extremely useful when burns have occurred. Timing is vital for burns, and the sooner you get cooling onto it, the better. Untrained people start searching the internet, and as the critical minutes tick by, the burn advances further down through the layers of the victimโ€™s skin. As a result, the pain increases exponentially, and the severity of the scarring.

When seizures occur, your knowledge will be vitally important. It is a frightening and challenging situation to handle when untrained. With First Aid skills, you will have the confidence and information to act swiftly and correctly, such as immediately making sure the surrounding area is safe. If outdoors, you would check for traffic; if indoors, check for glass, wires or sharp objects. You would then check for vital signs by tapping the patient and calling their name. Then call, or get someone else to call, emergency services and put them on speakerphone. If the person is unresponsive, you may have to start CPR. Emergency services will guide you and will be thankful they are talking to a trained person.

First aid training will equip each participant with the knowledge and confidence to positively impact emergencies. Thinking clearly and making educated decisions in a high-stress situation is a priceless skill to have. You can stabilise patients while waiting for an emergency response to arrive and keep other people in the area safe.

Our First Aid Certificate course in Sydney covers all the basics of essential CPR and procedures for medical emergencies. As a nationally accredited provider, we can certify you for workplace First Aid needs. Having a staff member qualified in First Aid is a huge benefit to companies, and this skill will be a value-add to your resume.
