We often receive enquiries from students about the Mining induction Training and what they ‘should’ or ‘must’ complete to get a job, so we thought this blog post may prove helpful.
In QLD you must complete the Standard 11 Mining Induction course prior to employment.
All other state and territory mine sites vary and have different requirements for induction training. Some do their own inductions, others will require a specific . When working in QLD, all employees must have the mining induction course prior to gaining their job.
Other valuable courses to consider would be a mine site supervisor course, the Cert IV WHS will give you an advantage over other candidates as Australian Mining and Workplaces are very WHS focused.
The above 2 recommended courses are not essential but again can assist with gaining employment in the Mining Industry.
