Supervise Asbestos Removal CPCCDE4008 Training Course is delivered and Statement of Attainments are issued by the Edway Training Pty Ltd (RTO 91401).
Edway Training is accredited by ASQA and approved by SafeWork NSW to deliver this training course.
- A team of tradespeople cannot legally undertake large-scale (10sqm+) asbestos removal work without the presence of a qualified Asbestos Safety Supervisor on site.
- Asbestos supervisor is required when:
- Friable asbestos (Class A) removal work is carried out, licensed removalists must ensure the supervisor is on site for the entire time during the removal
- Non-friable asbestos (Class B) removal work is carried out, licensed removalists must ensure the site supervisor is on site or readily available for the entire time during the removal
- This unit is required for all supervisors of the ACM removal process.
- The prerequisites for this training course are CPCWHS1001 Prepare to work safely in the construction industry, CPCCDE3014 Remove non-friable asbestos and/or CPCCDE3015 Remove friable asbestos.
- This course supersedes and is equivalent to CPCCBC4051A Supervise asbestos removal. SafeWork NSW recognises Statements of Attainment issued under a new unit of competency.

Supervise Asbestos Removal training covers topics such as plan supervision of asbestos removal, oversee the preparation for asbestos removal, supervise compliant testing and supervise removal and decontamination processes..
Supervise Asbestos Removal training course consists of PowerPoint Presentation, Class Activities, and Videos.
Current White Card
Participants must hold:
- CPCWHS1001 Prepare to work safely in the construction industry
Statement of the Attainment or the plastic Construction Induction card (also known as the white card) must be presented on the day of training as a proof of qualification.
Please note that the old coloured cards (Victorian red card, NSW green card etc) issued prior to May 2009 are not accepted.
ENTRY TO THE COURSE WILL BE REFUSED if participant DOES NOT present current white card.
Prior Competencies
Participants must hold:
- CPCCDE3014 Remove non-friable asbestos if candidates wish to supervise non-friable ACM removal; Or
- CPCCDE3015 – Remove friable asbestos if candidates wish to supervise non-friable ACM removal; Or
- CPCCDE3014 AND CPCCDE3015 if candidates wish to supervise non-friable and friable ACM removal
ENTRY TO THE COURSE WILL BE REFUSED if participant DOES NOT present current a relevant qualification.
100 points of ID
Participants must provide 100 points of I.D.
Please note that not all forms of I.D. are acceptable for a White Card course.

USI (Unique Student Identifier)
From 1 January 2015, every student who undertakes nationally recognised Vocational Education and Training (VET) in Australia is required to have a USI.
STATEMENT OF ATTAINMENT CANNOT BE ISSUED if a participant fails to produce a valid USI number.

Attendance
Participants should arrive 15 minutes prior to the scheduled starting time of the course to complete the necessary registration paperwork.
ENTRY TO THE COURSE WILL BE REFUSED if participants arrive 15 minutes after the scheduled starting time.
LLN (Language, Literacy and Numeracy)
The basic understanding, reading and writing of English is required.
As part of our pre-training review all students are required to complete an LLN assessment to determine a student’s eligibility for enrolment into their selected course.
All students enrolling into any Edway Training course must have LLN skills to do simple calculations, understand English well enough to be able to read, write, and provide verbal responses to questions in English to undertake training and assessment in any of our courses.
